·         Google Now on just one Tap
From the last android update, Google Now has become available on just one tap. It will start providing you data from Google search. The Google applications shortcuts could also be accessed in this way based upon the current condition of the device.

·         Introduction of Doze in the new Android Marshmallow
Doze is brand new feature introduced in the new android Marshmallow which activates the smart mode automatically whenever it finds the device idle. It would help a lot in reducing power consumption of the device and provide long battery life. It continuously watches out for the time gap between last unlocking of the screen and if it is a specified time, then it starts shutting down the apps which may be responsible for draining battery but are not in current use. The company has claimed that it would increase the battery life by about 30%.
·         Better privacy and control
There are people for whom privacy and security are major concerns. And the new android marshmallow would take care of this. It has come up with higher security by the fact that only the data which is public and convenient for you to be shared, will be shared. It will even make sure that the location of the device, while downloading any app, without your consent. Thus you will be required to allow only that amount of data to share that should be shared, and not everything.

·         Charging
It seems that the new mission for Google is efficiency as it seems for now. The new android marshmallow is going to support charging by Type-C USB chargers that means three times faster charging. It would be very helpful for people who are continuously on move and require frequent charging facility.

·         Finger Print Scanner Support
Google has been continuously trying to provide support for finger print scanner, but finally they have come out with the latest version in the new Android marshmallow. In this version better support along with accuracy is available. The fingerprint Scanners were used for unlocking the screen in earlier version of android but in this new version they can be used for other purposes also. Which include, making some purchase online, yeah you read it right. Along with that it can also be used in Google Play store. But the major factor is your device’s hardware should have finger print scanner in it, but Google has provided full support from its side.

·         Mobile Payments
Google has rolled out its android Pay, a payment system for android devices, in android marshmallow. It would make the payments online even faster than ever before. It can be used with any device having NFC capability, a common thing for today’s smart phones and having android kit Kat OS at least. You can use your existing credit cards from Visa, Master-card and other providers to make payments.
·         Better cut, copy, paste
In the earlier versions of android whenever you selected a text some icons appear on top of the screen, which were confusing for new users. Google kept in view this confusion and in android marshmallow they changed it. Now whenever you select a text, cut, copy and paste text would appear above the selected text, which is not at all confusing. This may be a very minor change, but is one of the most used features which people use and thus make it very important for all.
·         App Drawer
This new feature is introduced in android marshmallow and can be handy for users who have a lot of apps to use. App drawer serves as a storage for all the apps which you don’t want to have on the home screen. You can store them in app drawer and when in need of those apps you can get them from there.

Several more features were introduced in Android marshmallow which we have left out for you to try and then realize, as we don’t want to destroy your excitement for the update.
